Everything was excellent. Wonderful food with so many varieties, especially on weekends. On Sunday there was a nice concert during the dinner. Beautiful view, nice swimming pool. The area was beautiful and clean. They also offer free bikes.

Our stay at Liya Water Villas was nothing short of exceptional, and the biggest reason for that was the incredible staff who made every moment unforgettable. We’ve travelled to many places, but we have never experienced warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality quite like this. From the moment we arrived, Uncle Vijay, the security guard, welcomed us with the biggest smile and such comforting energy. His friendliness immediately made us feel safe, relaxed, and at home. A huge thank you to Niroshan, who truly went above and beyond for us. He helped us plan our days, suggested things to do, arranged everything we needed, and was always checking in to make sure we were having the best possible stay. His dedication and patience made our trip effortless. But it wasn’t just them — every single staff member we met was phenomenal. The housekeeping team, the restaurant staff, the front office, and everyone behind the scenes — every one of them greeted us with a smile, asked how our day was going, and made us feel like valued guests. Their warmth was so genuine, and it was clear they take real pride in their work. The villa itself was stunning — beautifully designed, spotless, and peaceful — but it was the people who made the experience truly special. Their professionalism, kindness, and positive energy turned a beautiful holiday into an unforgettable one. Liya Water Villas is more than just a place to stay; it’s a place where you’re cared for. Cannot thank the staff enough. We had the best 7 days on Sri Lanka thanks to their amazing hospitality. The room was massive and we had 2 interconnected rooms that were very clean and well maintained. The food was incredible and well worth paying for half board. My kids asked if we could stay forever! This place will have a little place in our hearts and I honestly cannot recommend the place enough. Thank you

The hotel was awesome! First we were welcomed with refreshing wipes and nice juices. They also made some kind of nice ritual with candles. Then we went to our room,which was so big,clean and comfy. Also we had a bathtub on the balcony. There was super big mango garden,where you can take walks and you can visit the nearby lake. There were several activities like big beautiful chess and ping pong. The food was a great combination of traditional and international food. It had great presentation and was delicious. The best thing in this hotel was THE STAFF. Everyone was so nice, always there to help you and assist. They were always smiling. We loved the manager,the cleaning ladies,all the girls from reception and restaurant. So nice! We reallyliked a girl named Sachini, which was mainly on the ba, she was super nice. My personal favorite one though was the NATURALIST!!! Her name was Sithumi. We definitely recomend going on the safari tour with her. She was so so so nice,always helping out and she knew so much about all animals! She saw birds for maybe 2 seconds and already knew the kind! So impressive! She was caring for all of us so much! Definitely recomend this hotel and we would love to come back❤️

This hotel has been the best in every possible way, the property the amazing service, the food. It’s way more than what I expected. The management Mr Dibusha and Mr Ashan along with their amazing staff specially Champika, Ishan, Sanuja, Chef Mr Fernando (I missed out few names, as I couldn’t remember them all they all were beyond great and helpful) went out of their way to make sure our stay was taken care of and provided so many complimentary services. The spa, pool, rooms and restaurants all were beyond my expectations a beautiful land with lushes greenery. The whole entire staff are sure everything about our stay was taken care of and was kind enough to arrange for a run til ride for excursions felt taken care of so very well in every aspect. The food variety was great and so many exotic fruits from Sri Lanka were available which gave us the opportunity to taste so many local flavors. I feel this is best hotel in all above mentioned ways that I’ve been to. I visited the r property as I was holding a retreat for 4 ladies, they made sure that everything was taken care of at all times and was really safe too. Thanks to everyone in the hotel had the best get away so far. Mr Dinusha’s management skills shines through everyone in the hotel. And you get to see beautiful wildlife like peacocks, monkeys and more in the property which is also a great experience. All in all so very well greatful to everyone in the hotel for making it a wonderful experience.

It was a great experience at Sky forest. Loved everything about the stay. It's amazing how the architecture of the cabanas and tree house blends with nature seamlessly.
