Buffet was fantastic. Service was excellent. Bed was super comfortable. The facility is a bit older but is well maintained. The rooms are clean and dry - the central air meant no dampness and no musty smells. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay here. The grounds were beautiful, our room was incredibly clean with a gorgeous balcony looking across the mango orchard, and the pool was absolutely lovely. The hotel is designed so that it’s very open to the outside, so you feel like you’re in the middle of nature. We loved the decorative touches, like the wall of masks and the display of colourful bangles behind the reception desk. The whole concept of the hotel, as a women-led enterprise, is unique. This was our first hotel in Sri Lanka and it was only later that we realised how unusual it is to have so many women in these roles. It gives the hotel a calming atmosphere as all of the staff were so kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived (and lit the ceremonial peacock oil lamp!). I didn’t try the spa but my mum booked a treatment and, although a bit pricey, she loved it. The buffet breakfast was delicious, with a lot of vegan and vegetarian choices, although the dinner menu was a bit limited for vegans. We stayed two nights and wished we’d booked another, as we were so comfortable here.

Everything was just amazing. We loved all the wild animals in the area as well.

My stay at this luxury Ayurveda Resort in Sigirya, Sri Lanka brought back the deeper connection with nature itself. The Ayurveda treatments at the Resort was exceptional and the Doctor was able to identify my doshas and work on a detox programme for me and all the meals were customized. The team at Ayugiri was excellent and friendly and supportive during my wellness holiday in Sri Lanka. The best part of my stay was seeing the wild elephants roaming about freely.
