beautiful city location close to the old town yet perfectly nestled in amongst trees and greenery making it feel like an urban oasis. We had a lovely weekend at Rhodes and this was definitely in part due to our stay at the Grande Albergo delle Rose. The location, ambiance and staff were absolutely top class!! A beautifully maintained historic hotel, it is strategically located at the tip of the island, it was a short walk from the historic old town and harbour. Breakfast was incredibly generous and the food on the whole was delicious, although we would've loved to have the opportunity to also taste a few greek dishes on the international menu. The hotel also laid out a nice spread of fruit, cookies, cakes, tea and coffee for guests every night till breakfast time which was a nice touch. The beach is very accessible from the property and has a nice sense of privacy and seclusion, although in early spring it was too cold to swim. The hotel also has a casino with separate access and a spa. We cannot compliment the staff enough for their professional yet extremely kind, warm and friendly demeanour - everyone right from reception to housekeeping, butlers and restaurant staff really made you feel welcome. Highly recommended if you are interested in the history and culture of the island and want to have a unique and memorable experience!

I liked the concept of Adults only. as a parent in Rhodes for the weekend for a wedding it was a nice break. I lived the new electric Volkswagen shuttle cars. that take you to the rooms on the property.

The resort was everything you wanted in a relaxing holiday. The location next to it's private beach was excellent. Room was very spacious and clean. The food served at the various eateries was excellent, with good service, and a great assortment of foods for dinner and breakfast in the bistro. The Thalassa restaurant was excellent, food, service, location great, and one night we were there, they had a very talented musician on keyboards, low key (we were sitting closest to him and could still talk), fitting in with the ambience, he was great. The beach was brilliant, very small pebbles, didn't need shoes to walk in, and the water was warm, calm and crystal clear. Even though there's a lot of people staying at the resort, we always got a sun lounges (very comfortable). The pool looked great, but we preferred the beach, so we didn't end up using it. The whole experience for us after travelling around Europe for 4 weeks, was exactly what we needed to finish our trip, and the bonus was the resort was brilliant in everyway.
