This was the best hotel we stayed at on our travels throughout Colombia! Everything was great from the food, drinks, decor, vibe, and room. Our room had a hot tub and seating area on the balcony with a view of the pool and lake. The beds were super comfy, nice shower, robes, full stocked mini fridge and cocktails were delivered to the room. Prices were comparable to Canada or the US, but worth it. We had cocktails and dinner in the main area, it was a really nice romantic vibe. Brunch on the patio was also very nice with the view. The manager was so great he spoke perfect English and made our stay very warm. Rest of the staff did not speak English but were patient and friendly. There was also a Colombian holiday (December 8) when we went and the hotel gave us candles to celebrate and there was fireworks on the lake. The hotel truly takes boutique hotel to a new level. The hotel is just a short Tuck Tuck ride away, the front desk called one for us and it arrived in 2 minutes and they are all over the downtown. We also did the boat ride, "Yate Majestic" a short TukTuk ride or walk down the road to the lake.

We had a great first time experience of Glamping. It was very clean and comfortable and was very private. The staff were nice and polite, it was an added bonus having your food delivered to your room. There was more than enough extras if you needed them in your room and not too expensive either. The views from our room were great and there was a walkway leading to the lake and gardens, however the lake was dried out due to lack of rain fall. I would definitely recommend it if visiting Guatape.
