The Country House is a glorious house set in beautiful countryside well away from the hustle and bustle. You need a car if you want to explore the surrounds but we went to get away from it all. Terri & Teresa are wonderful hosts and fantastic chefs. We had breakfast and dinner on both days; our steaks were cooked to perfection, as was the barramundi on the following evening. We had cheesecake for dessert one evening and a chocolate and caramel based cream and banana tart - both were absolutely delicious. If you're seeking a 5* restaurant, don't bother, have dinner at The Country House because it surpasses any 5* restaurant I've been to. Happy Hour was excellent and fun! Cosmopolitans on our first night and Tequila Sunrises on our second. Breakfast is plentiful and fresh with homemade crumpets, bread or bagels as well as eggs, sausages, bacon, etc. All beautifully presented. The room was very spacious, clean and beautifully appointed with wonderful bedding.

Located near Lake Baroon, Narrows Escape Rainforest Retreat offers modern accommodation, a luxurious spa and wellness centre and free parking. Kondalilla National Park is 2 km away.
