Offering garden views, Astei Nekazalturismoa is an accommodation situated in Muxika, 32 km from Catedral de Santiago and 32 km from Abando Train Station. Excellent does not begin to describe our experience with Resu. We have stayed in hundreds of places and few will be as memorable as this. The mountain location, the comfort and space, the breakfast should you choose to order it (please do it...at least once), the constant generosity of little extras that were provided... especially food and wine, the beds, the little touches... nothing is left to chance. Resu, and her daughter who helped, clearly love what they do. This is how it used to be before corporatisation spoiled the booking websites and earning a buck became more important than extending hospitality. If you are anywhere near Bilbao and have transportation then stay here... you won't regret it. We will return!

It was amazing experience to spend the night in the old house. We bought some cheese and cider and honey and spend the evening seething in the garden under the trees. The place is really nice and quiet and the owner of the house is really welcoming person.

Featuring a garden, terrace and views of garden, Olaskoaga Goikoa is located in Aia, 19 km from La Concha Promenade. This farm stay provides free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. The accommodation features a housekeeping service and a shared lounge for guests. It is in a very quiet location, just the birds and the cow bells. It had been a long trip from Portugal getting there, so we stayed two nights to recover. Breakfast was freshly served and we could sit inside or out under their veranda. The restaurants are mainly in Zarautz about 15minutes away. They typically open late in the evening, after 8pm. The first night we found a tapas type bar, which was Ok The second night we went on the owners recommendation to Telesforo, restaurant which she booked for us, and it was superb.
