We stayed one night on our way to Croatie and we had a lovely short stay at San Michele. It's a very nice and quite place to stay, the room was large and comfortable and the breakfast was realy delicious. It also a perfect spot to stay for a few nights to visit the beautiful city of Vicenza and the lovely Villa la Rotonda which is just around the corner.

I stayed there because it was close to my destination the next day, plus, I always try to stay at agriturismos to support the local farmers. The property was secure with a gate though the area seemed plenty safe. I was showed to my room quickly and was delighted by the sparse but local/ethnic furnishings. Particularly the gorgeous antique furniture pieces that were so lovingly kept. I'm don't speak Italian and the hosts don't speak much English, but we figured it out! Just a heads up for anyone else in the same situation.

We had 4 absolutely perfect days at L'Albara. Wish we stayed longer. Federico is a wonderful host, always there for his guests, making sure everyone is enjoying their stay and nothing is missing. We arrived quite late, we were all tired and hungry and were so happy when Federico invited us to have dinner first, and then check in. What we liked? Well, everything: - great location, very close to Vicenza, Padova and Lake Garda - amazing food and wines, which are all local products so you get a real taste of Italy :). Do try the scrambled eggs for breakfast and the orange wine at dinner. - relaxing by the pool - playing with the dogs - Sissi and Ares. Our girls absolutely loved them. They are super friendly and playful. They were literally our babysitters throughout the entire stay :)). We loved the authenticity and peacefulness of the place. We wanted to have a relaxing family time and could not be more happy with our choice. The only suggestion from our side would be to add some more variety to breakfast with veggies and extra pastry options :). Thank you Federico, for making our stay perfect! We will definitely come back. The girls already miss Sissi and Ares :)

Unlike others I usually don't give a 10. When I am happy I think 8 is a good grade. But first the host was very friendly and you feel welcome immediatly and second the two meals I had there have been wonderful. If you stay there I strongly recommend the dinner. It is a quiet and beautiful place, comfort was good.
