Breakfast was tasty and they were preparing it earlier than usual as we had early morning tours. We felt very connected with the nature and spent amazing days.

When staying at the guest house, guests can use private entrance. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Mariolita and her family were amazing hosts. They made me feel at home.

With river views, PuraChata Ecolodge is set in Iquitos and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. PuraChata is truly an oasis of peace. If you’re looking for a place to rest and recharge, this is the place to be. The property is beautiful, very well designed and curated down to the smallest details. Everything is very clean and carefully maintained. The food is delicious, and the staff is simply amazing. With mountain views, CAMUNGO jungle Lodge in indigenous community ALL INCLUSIVE is set in Puerto Franco and has a restaurant, a kids' club, bar, garden and terrace. Complimentary WiFi is offered throughout the property. The staff were very knowledgeable about the different species of animals. I really enjoyed feeding the bully monkeys that came down to the boat we were on. A great experience thru the Rainforest during high season.

Piri's House is set in Iquitos. The property has city and quiet street views. Free WiFi is at guests' disposal throughout the property.

The 2-bedroom apartment is fitted with a living room with a flat-screen TV with streaming services, a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave and a toaster, and 2 bathrooms with a hair dryer. Towels and bed linen are offered in the apartment. Additional in-room amenities include chocolates or cookies. The host Lidsky give us a warm welcome drink. The house equips with a very clean kitchen, pots, stove, kettle, plates, fridge...etc, so it's easy to make a simple breakfast by ourselves. The airconditions are working well, so it helps us with a humid/warm night in Iquitos. There's no hot water for the shower, but I don't want it, either. It's not far from Mercado Belén.

Amazon Home-Feliz Puerta is located in Iquitos. The accommodation provides nightclub and a shared kitchen.

Eywa Lodge Amazonas - All inclusive is situated in Yucuruche and features a bar. The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi throughout the property.

All rooms at the hotel are fitted with a private bathroom and bed linen. We spent 4 nights and 5 days at Eywa lodge and we had a fantastic time. From the moment Freddy met us at our Iquitos hotel until we said our heartfelt goodbyes at the lodge and in Iquitos we were treated with respect and as friends. We were never patronized. The entire team became our friends as well as guides and supporters. Our stay at the lodge, in the forest, on the river was dreamlike. My expectations of giant anacondas, growling jaguars, and man-eating spiders were soon forgotten, replaced with endless green forest, magnificent wild rivers, countless birds, and jewel-like starry night sky’s. Particulars: prepare for rain(panchos). Expect mosquitos, they weren’t bad for us.  We used deet and piccardin and both were effective unless you are known to attract mosquitos, if so, douse outer wear with permethrin. Light weight long sleeve shirts and pants. Good walking shoes, hat, headlamp, and walking stick. Meals were delicious, varied and used local produce and were presented with style. Wifi at lodge was quite good. And the lounge/bar serve a mean pisco sour.

Situated in Paraíso, Grand Amazon Lodge and Tours - All Inclusive has a garden, shared lounge, bar, and free WiFi. The accommodation features free shuttle service, room service and luggage storage for guests. This is an outpost in the middle of the Amazon rainforest, so of course we did not expect anything too fancy. Having said that, the lodge is an adorable place, simply made with mostly local materials, but beautifully designed. It takes a lot of work to keep everything clean and in working condition there, and all the necessary work was made in discreet ways, so that they would not bother the guests. What they have achieved is remarkable. The lodge employs many people from the local villages, thus enrolling the villages in conservation policies. There is one guide and one tracker for each group, and they take you around, on jungle walks and boat rides. Everything is as fascinating as you can imagine. We were very lucky and saw a lot of wildlife, including blue macaws, ant eater, sloths, monkeys, and so many colourful birds and butterflies. Food is delicious and the breakfast is very good. A special word for all the crew: guides, trackers, cooks and maintenance: all of them were really kind and knowledgeable. They go the estra mile to make the guests feel good. The lodge is powered with solar panels, batteries and a generator to complement the solar. Power is enough and never had an outage. Internet is available on the lobby/main hall, and works well most of the time. More than enough considering that you are in the middle of the jungle. This was a blast we will never forget. Higly recommendable if you love this sort of thing.
