We recently stayed at The Dandy Hotel in Taipei and we were really impressed! Despite being a 3-star hotel, the service was definitely at a 4-star level. The staff went above and beyond – they even gave us a courtesy call for checkout time without us asking, and were super flexible with storing our bags before and after our stay. The room itself was a pleasant surprise. It was much bigger than what you typically get in Taipei, and spotlessly clean. The bed was really comfortable and we slept great – it was nice and quiet too. The bathroom was a highlight with amazing shower pressure and lovely lemongrass-scented toiletries. Just a heads up though – the shower is over the bath, which was quite narrow. There's a handrail to help you get in and out, but it might be tricky for older travelers. One thing I loved was being able to open the window for fresh air, though don't expect any views. The location was really convenient, just a short walk to the station. Breakfast was pretty average overall, but they did have some nice cakes. Oh, and if you're looking for last-minute gifts, they have some cute items like soaps and keyrings at reception – really came in handy for me! The only real downside was the breakfast not being anything special, but honestly, everything else made up for it. The fantastic service, clean and comfortable room, and convenient location make this place a gem. I'll definitely be staying here again next time I'm in Taipei!

I have to start with an unfortunate event that turned out to be very fortunate for us: we stayed in this hotel at the time of the 7.4 earthquake in early April. The event itself was absolutely scary, but looking back we were very thankful to stay at this place instead of anywhere else. The building was all moving and shaking, but there was no damage at all thanks to the construction of the building. The staff was very nice and helpful at all times. The building is beautiful, including the interior and the room! We absolutely loved the white colours in the room. The room was spacious and equipped with everything, with a nice walk in closet, an office corner and a huge bathroom (we loved the Japanese style toilet :) ). The location is great, there are two shopping malls in a walking distance, with some nice restaurants.

Spacious rooms with comfortable beddings. Everything was perfect. Can’t comment on F&B as we didn’t dine there. There is a lovely breakfast place near the hotel which offers good Taiwanese toast at a reasonable price. The only drawback is the hotel isn’t located near train stations. It’s not a deal breaker as the nearest train station is about 10-15mins walk.

Bathroom was clean. Small but functional. Shower big enough for 2. Good water pressure. Toilet with bidet. Location was slightly less than 10 minute walk to Taipei main station. Convenience stores, Watsons and eateries not far from hotel. Free snacks and drinks throughout the day in the lobby area. The exterior of the hotel is unimpressive, but I really like the rooms in spite of them not being huge. Overall I think it's God value for money

Located next to Nanjing Fuxing MRT. All personnel are excellent and dedicated. The Front Desk, the Concierge, the Housekeeping were all superlative. Spcl mention - Eva of Concierge team who was extremely attentive and looked out for us. Helped make our visit stress-free. The chef at the breakfast counter made vegetarian noodles for us. Truly grateful.
