A big thumbs up for the very helpful staff of Hotel Laxa. When we were about to check out, we clumsily drove our car into a pile of snow accumulated in the hotel car park overnight and got stuck there. A few hotel guests around lent us a hand but still could not pull our car out. Fionn at the Front Desk came to assistance immediately upon our request. It was certainly some strenuous work he did to free our car from the thick snow. And he's our hero. Thanks also to another lady at the Front Desk who was very helpful. It's a pity that we did not know her name. All in all, it was a great stay at Hotel Laxá. It's clean, cosy and at a good location in the Myvatn area.

Breakfast was really good. We arrived late and staff called to inform us where our room was and the key. Staff was incredibly nice and helpful.

Super comfy and family owned Hotel, the staff was superb, tasty continental breakfast and good dinner, clean room and we could see the Aurora from our room window! Definitely recommend.

Super comfy, clean hotel and room, nice sauna, very friendly staff. I would say this hotel deserves 5* IMHO. Hotel kindly connected two rooms for me (family of 5) what was very useful. I can recommend this hotel without a doubt.

Excellent location. Close to a lot of points of interest in Myvatn, Godafoss, etc. Lovely town. Has all kitchen essentials. The town also has a restaurant that serves tasty food.

Great stay, lovely cottage. Customer service was great. They even cleaned the roads of snow every morning to get the cars out.
