Exceptional hospitality and kindness from Aracely. She was really helpful with giving us various option on how to get to Cotopax where to eat or get groceries. The village uat really small and vety calm and safe. We ended up taking the private tour to Cotopaxi which costed $65 for both if us and we like it a lot (the guide was great). Alternatively, you can walk down to the highway, flag a bus or hitchhiker to the entrance of the national park and then get a guide at the entrance of the park. When booking the rooms just beware that there are different houses, we ended up staying in the one not shown on the pictures by mistake, which was fine but we were a bit confused in the beginning haha The shower didn't work the first day, but they fixed it the day after so all good.

Me and my mum stayed here for one night and it was a perfect stay. All of the staff were so lovely, the views were breathtaking & the food was incredible (although the prices are slightly higher than we’ve found elsewhere in Ecuador it was so worth it for the quality & taste & big portions). Such an amazing night in the countryside with lots of things to do, thank you!

With Ruta de los volcanos we really found a hidden gem! Darwin was an excellent host and is really talented. First and foremost he is an exceptional chef and prepared the best dinner for us that we had an our entire trip in Ecuador. We expected very simple food as the place is very remote but learned that he is known for his great cuisine in the entire area! And on top of that he was so helpful with the planning for our hiking. We went on a very tough hiking trip up to the peak of Rumiñahui and Darwin showed us the route on the map with a lot of patience. For Cotopaxi he organized a guide including transport and for both days we got an excellent lunch box provided. All came at a reasonable cost. There is free drinking water which you can fill your bottles with and all requests we had were fulfilled with care and joy. We almost felt like part of the family. Our room had an excellent view and the location is really ideal for hiking or any other activity around and on the volcanos. The fire in the evening was so cozy to relax and recover from a day in the mountains. We highly recommend Ruta de Los Volcanos and would certainly stay here again if we were back in the area! Thank you, Darwin and family, for making us feel like home far away from our home 😊

Very peaceful area with plenty of common areas to sit. The owners are nice and very knowledgeable on all things nature related. Free hot water readily available. The BnB is close to the main square of Machachi. Nice kitchen in the cabin.

The staff, especially Fernando were amazing, friendly and tending to my every needs (especially as I got a gastro) Went in town to fetch some medication. I couldn't be more thrilled to have chosen Rondador during this difficult time of my trip. The view on cotopaxi volcano is amazing and you are surrounded by animals.

Amazing place: peaceful, quiet with plenty of cute animals. Breakfast and dinner were delicious (especially dinner cooked by the owner Adrien 👌🏻). Adrien organised us transport for Cotopaxi, Quilotoa and Saquisilí and we enjoyed everything a lot. Thank you! We definitely recommend this place and would have loved to stay there even a bit longer.

Staying at this hotel feels like being welcomed home by your family. Great value for money, spacious room with a beautiful view to Cotopaxi and excellent location, just around the corner from the main road with several restaurants nearby, are among its excellent features, but the breakfast stands out for the kindness and care of the lady who will set the buffet and prepare eggs a la carte for you and who will remind you of your grandmother almost inevitably. The hotel manager was just as kind and helpful. I wish we had stayed longer.
