The hotel's location is PERFECT! It's a few steps from the Thalwil train station AND the boat station of Lake Zurich. We were able to go to Zurich via boat and enjoyed the sights and activities over the water in Lake Zurich. Our room had a balcony that had a good partial view of the lake. This is also close to the bus station that you can take to the Lindt Chocolate Museum. Overall, I would come back to this hotel!

The location is in a village and there is free parking directly opposite about 20 minutes to Zug Monday the restaurant is closed so there is no servicing of the rooms on that day only which is perfectly reasonable being an independent guest house. We had a lovely meal one evening but chose not to have breakfast as we were with friends nearby the majority of the time. The best thing though for people with mobility issues, there is a lift to all floors which we required. This is often not made clear or mentioned in reviews in my experience. There is a well stocked supermarket 30 seconds away. We will definitely be staying again in the future.

Enjoying a quiet location on the top of the hill in the Au Peninsula, Landgasthof Halbinsel Au is surrounded by vineyards and offers panoramic views of the Lake Zurich and the Alps.
