One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in. Everything was exceptional. Special shout out to the hotel gym. It’s the best I’ve ever seen. The staff were also so friendly and kind. It is absolutely a super nice and beautiful hotel. Amazing service and excellent rooms. Bed was super comfortable. Room was big. Had a very nice view. Bathroom was also spacious. Johannesburg, or Jo'burg, has this unique energy; always alive, always moving, but with a deep history that makes you reflect. I’ve visited the Apartheid Museum, the Zoo, and Mandela House, and I left with a mix of emotions. The museum really hits hard, making you feel the weight of the past, while Mandela’s house gives you a sense of hope, like a reminder of how far the country has come. The Zoo was a nice break, a peaceful spot in the middle of the city, yet you still feel connected to the urban rhythm. What’s really interesting about Jo'burg is that, despite being a bustling city full of history, it’s also surprisingly green. There are lots of parks and green spaces like Zoo Lake and the Botanical Gardens, perfect for unwinding and enjoying the weather. The contrast between the busy city life and these calm, green areas really make the city stand out. Plus, places like Maboneng and Newtown are full of creative energy, with amazing food and a lively art scene. The weather is almost always sunny, and the people are super friendly, which makes Jo'burg feel warm and welcoming. What would be nice is that, with every visit, you find something new; whether it’s in the history, the art, or just the hidden green spots around the city

Joburg was fantastic & green.

Joburg was fantastic & green. Warm & it was a really good experience. People are super friendly & I would really recommend getting an Uber or guide for your stay. Mine was with me for my eight days & very grateful for his assistance 🙏

We included a trip to Soweto which was definitely worthwhile...

We included a trip to Soweto which was definitely worthwhile. We used the hop on/hop off bus to tour the city, gain a bit of city knowledge and also as an access to the Apartheid Museum. The Sunday Arts and Crafts market at Rosebank was also worthwhile.

Mall of Africa was a Big craze for the Black Friday, we shopped till late. It's a one stop shop. Ate at Spurs and the doughnut shop across not sure the name, hot wings from chicken liken and Seafood I loved the shopping experience at Nelson Mandela square. Gold reef city is a must go - just don't go with a wig on, leave your wig at home.

Everything was good.

Everything was good. Except the Bolts disappointed me during my request to travel with one to Soweto Marathon. No Bolt pitched or came to my place/the Guest house. They kept on redirecting me and not coming till i made arrangements by myself to get to the race. It was so disappointing. These Bolts😞

After travelling internationally for several weeks, it was so noticeable to experience and enjoy great South African hospitality at this hotel! From the moment of pickup to drop off via shuttle the next day was ten out of ten. The room was lovely and we so enjoyed having a cocktail and some delicious food! But most of all, the people who work hard to make you feel welcome at this hotel must be highlighted....they make the difference and most appreciated!

The breakfast buffet was the highlight of our stay, and possibly the best during our 2,5 week trip in South Africa. The Resort itself has nice and large grounds, and is very well kept - better than the rooms themselves. Next door "Klipriviersberg" nature area was great for hiking (cheap Uber to get there), and a great alternative to the (a bit overpriced) tours the resort offer in their own nature area.

The accommodation and breakfast on offer is genuine 4 star quality. Comfortable and very good. The location is fine if you need to be in the Randburg area or the North-West suburbs of Johannesburg. It is also not far from the Sandton CBD. Security is good. The establishment is an oasis in an area which is unfortunately deteriorating.
