A Wonderful Stay at Hotel Sherman
I had an amazing stay at Hotel Sherman in January. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, going above and beyond to make my experience memorable. I was especially touched by the thoughtful handwritten note they left in my room—it was such a warm gesture.
The building itself is stylish and full of that classic NYC charm. The breakfast restaurant had a beautifully designed interior, making every morning feel special.
While the hotel doesn’t have an elevator, the staff were more than happy to carry my luggage, which made everything so much easier. When I arrived early, they kindly stored my bags and even sent me a text message as soon as my room was ready—such great service!
The location is perfect for Broadway enthusiasts. It was so convenient to walk to the theaters and enjoy the musicals.

The hotel is outstanding — perfectly located on Broadway, surrounded by a wide variety of restaurants, with both Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s very close by, as well as a nearby subway station. The property is extremely comfortable, clean, and safe, and the staff are exceptionally attentive and friendly. My room exceeded all expectations, with an incredibly comfortable bed and a fantastic shower. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Everything! This was a perfect stay, an absolute dream come true. The artistic history of the place is overwhelming (ask about your room number), and the recent renovations perfectly honor this and the building's original architectural beauty without compromising on modern comfort. Nothing corporate or institutional about this place; on the contrary, it's just dripping with character and whimsy. Don't miss the lobby bar, cafe, or especially El Quijote, as these are all exceedingly beautiful and luxurious. The staff are largely friendly and accommodating, and the building is well located (a straight 10min walk from Penn Station, close to Greenwich Village, etc.). Pretty crazy that a hotel could tempt me away from exploring Manhattan. I never wanted to leave, and can't wait to return.

The location is outstandingly good. Very central but just far enough off all the midtown craze. Close to central park and upper east side.
Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
Housekeeping is great, coffee and water in your room everyday.
Value for money is perfect for us given the quality and central location.

Wonderful place to stay, the house was clean and tidy, the amenities were excellent. It was easy to get to the house by bus or subway and the check in was quite simple. I'd definitely stay here again, had a wonderful time in NY and this place certainly helped that.
