We stayed at The William Vale back in December 2021. No comparison. Maybe it was due to the pandemic, but this time it was a world of difference. Back then, everything felt run-down and the staff weren’t particularly friendly. This time, everything was top-notch.

A great location with only a short walk to the Greenpoint subway station. Near the station are several grocery stores that were handy since we prepared our own breakfasts in our room. There are also a number of excellent cafes nearby.

Perfect location, super nice hotel. The room was large and comfortable and the breakfast is great (if you like fresh croissants). If in Manhattan I would definitely come back.

The room was spacious, renovated, large bed, quiet, the staff of the hotel was very kind, professional and helpful. We asked to change the room and they delivered my request. The bathroom was also clean and nicely renovated.

Every single interaction with the staff at the Ludlow was 10/10. Always super responsive, even before we arrived. Better service than I've had in 5-star hotels – these folks are just consistently on the ball. Great location, tucked away on a street with loads of cool shops and restaurants – short walk to Soho/other cool areas. 24/7 room service serving actually amazing food. (Try the hummus and pita for a quick snack!)

Great location, everything within walking distance, lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. Very comfortable bed and linen, Regular cleaning and friendly staff, very peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed our stay very much and if we were to return to New York, we would stay here again.

The only meal we ate at the hotel, in the Half Moon Cafe, was our daily breakfast. It was very filling and tasty. The staff at the hotel were very efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. The location was great for walking to many sights in Manhattan. There were metro stations close by as well. The hotel had many safety measures i.e. safe in room, elevator use only with room key, etc. However the area in general is safe to walk around during the day and evening.
