We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The swimming pool was clean and conveniently located in front of the rooms, offering a quiet and comfortable atmosphere. The central location was perfect, with easy access to everything we needed. We are especially grateful to Mr. Mohammed for his guidance in exploring Zanzibar and for arranging our airport transfers.

Babalao is a small oasis in Nungwi within steps of the beach. It is tranquil and I felt safe as a solo traveler. The room was comfortable and clean in the middle of lush gardens. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. The lounge chairs and bar near the pool were nice. Upon arrival , the owners gave me a short private tour of the area and recommendations for activities and restaurants. They were attentive daily. I also got a very good massage at the Cucumber studio on the premises.

Great new hotel on the beach. The boss takes care of you and your safety and the staff who will provide everything you need. Cleanliness, breakfasts and dishes at the highest level. I highly recommend it!

Had a lovely stay here. It feels very friendly due to the low number of houses, so people become familiar and you feel part of the place. It also feels more local, you are amongst the shops and streets and not just isolated in a hotel. Truda and Alex were so helpful and friendly! great breakfeast, great stay...great coffee from Truda ;-) Overall we had a lovely time. It is a 7min walk from beach but I liked that because I got local cassava chips or had a beer from the local store and enjoyed my walk! and they have a dog called Beauty!

We really appreciated the peaceful adults only atmosphere and the serenity of Kai. We had 2 separate visits to the spa for massages and were very happy with the treatments. In addition to breakfasts, also had some lunches and dinners at the Kai restaurant. The chef does an excellent job with many items made in house. The cookies and cakes were delicious. All the staff did their best to look after us and make things go smoothly during our stay. The rooms were very comfortable and had everything required. Cleaning team were great !
