This youth hostel is located near Chiang Mai Gate, just a 15-minute walk away. The Chiang Mai Night Market is also held at Chiang Mai Gate in the evenings, creating a lively atmosphere. It's a great place to eat and shop at night. The hostel is housed in a building with a very artistic vibe. From the building, it’s clear that the owner is someone with a story to tell. Check-in time is strictly at 2 p.m., so if you arrive earlier, you won't be able to get your room key. However, you can store your luggage and must wait until 2 p.m. to check in. The building has three floors. The first floor is a large public space where you can make friends and eat. There is no elevator, and the stairs are a bit narrow, so you need to be cautious. It can be a bit inconvenient if you're carrying a suitcase like I was. The bed I booked is in a mixed 8-bed dorm on the third floor. The bed is very large, and I believe it's big enough for two people to sleep comfortably. Each bed has a privacy curtain, and when it's pulled down, it feels like a little world of its own. The curtain’s shading effect is good, although you can still see some light outside when it’s drawn. By the way, the hostel provides lockers on the second floor, but you need to arrive early to see if there’s an available space. You will need to bring your own lock. No matter which youth hostel you stay in, always keep your valuables with you. The economy isn't great, and there are some bad people around, so always be mindful of your safety when going out. Additionally, the bedding here is very comfortable and clean. The duvet is a bit thin, but if you wear long clothes like I did, you won't feel cold. On the third floor, there is only one bathroom, and the toilet and shower are combined, though the wet and dry areas are separated. There are two showers on the second floor, so if there are many people, you can use those instead.

Everything was perfect, rooms were very clean, great breakfast and most importantly amazing staff, each one of them. They were very polite and helpful. Location was near the old town, yet quite at night. Would definitely recommend 11/10.

Nice small hotel just outside the old town walls. It was pretty much as advertised. Room was spacious enough for two people, internet was working well, and location was walking distance from all points of interest we visited. It is not within the old town but we knew this and intentionally booked there - old town can get a bit hectic with tourists during the holidays, so this was a good alternative to where we stayed previously. Breakfast was good and varied with both Thai and Western food. Swimming pool was nice as well. Staff always available and friendly.

Staff is very nice and helpful. Free bicycle, great for travel. Room is very large. Price is very cheap, especially renting for one month. Though you need to contact the owner before arrival as not always have staff in front desk.
