The Grand Hotel Continental is one of the nicest places we have stayed in for a long while, the large room was recently refurbished and the beds were very comfortable. Completely peaceful at night with great air conditioning, shower and bath, we had a very pleasant 4 night stay.
Having become a bit jaded over the years we were delighted to discover that room service was particularly good and thoroughly enjoyed the dishes we tried.
The staff are great, unfailingly cheerful and helpful, we would like to particularly thank Mirela the Front Office Manager who really went out of her way to help us get some things organised in a very efficient and charming manner.
The hotel is perfectly located a few minutes from the heart of the old town and if you’re there at the weekend the street outside becomes a pedestrian boulevard on Saturday and Sunday where there are often musical happenings going on.
We have now stayed in quite a few hotels in Bucharest but we have now found our home and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else in future.

I spend 3/4 months every year staying in 4 or 5 star hotels around the world. Super impressed by the size of the room ( biggest bathroom ever! ). Free minibar too ! Great location too. I have tram members coming to Bucharest on business travel soon. This will be our first choice.

We booked an apartment and it was an excellent size. The property has an elevator which was very helpful to get our stroller up and down from our room. The apartment had a small kitchen area with a large fridge, and a sink. A living room with a sofa bed and a half bath and a bedroom with the full bath.
When we were departing we asked if we could store our luggage, the staff were very accommodating.

I had to access the hotel late at night, as my flight arrived then. However, arrangements were made well in advance, with excellent communication from the hotel, and a special code Sent to me that day.
I had a little trouble using it, but a phone call to a staff member easily sorted that out, so I gained entry to the hotel and my room, and I enjoyed a lovely hot shower before sleep in my very comfortable bed.
The breakfast was unusual for me, but I found plenty to eat that I liked. When leaving, Andrew ordered an Uber for me, took my bags to the meeting place, and spoke to the driver, so I had a good ride to the airport.
