The apartment is very beautiful and very well maintained, in fact the whole house is. It is also very comfortable, beds, furniture, the whole ambience. Every item has been thoughtfully selected, the furniture is very tasteful and not at all on the cheap side. The apartment has been renovated in such a way that very many historical features of the building have been retained and preserved in a very nice way. We had an apartment facing the back, so there was no noise from the road at all, only noise during the day due to some building work going on in the house next door. This was no issue as we were out all day anyway. The fact that the proprietor actually works in an office in the same building is unusual, and very helpful indeed.

All staffs were extremely nice and willing to help, including Joao who was kind enough to move our luggage personally to the hotel next door where we decided to stay for the final day. Breakfast was well worth 16€ with quality food.
