We stayed here on Christmas Eve and it was a real holiday experience. The check-in procedure was very efficient and we also received a glass of sparkling wine right at the reception desk and a delicious panettone cake in the room. The room was trendy, very clean and comfortable, with a balcony and a view of the river. The location of the hotel is excellent as well. All the staff members were really friendly and kind, even those who just seemed to be passing by. The manager of the hotel Bruno was very attentive, too, and did not hesitate to make sure that everything was alright. However, the best surprise was the unexpected Christmas gift we received at the check-out, which was a lovely gesture and definitely convinced us to make a plan to return to the hotel in the future.

Varandas de Lisboa is a great place with a fantastic location! It is very close to the Praca do Comercio, but still very quiet. We rented an apartment for our family and we had a great view over the river Tejo. The apartment was very clean and they also cleaned the room every day. I enjoy quiet places where you can relax from a busy day out and this was a good place. You could hear the neighbours quite well from the stairway, but at 11 pm everyone was nice and quiet. You couldn´t hear much from the street even if its just downtown. It is close to all sights, restaurants and for taking public transportations. The service was exellent and we stored our bags after check-out without problems. They were quick to answer questions and mails. We would really recommend this place for your stay!

The hotel is a bit hidden within Alfama which gives the accomodation its charm. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and everyone there is super friendly. The view from the terrace and the pool is absolutely amazing. Just sitting on the terrace and enjoying a glass of wine while taking in the breathtaking view was one of our favourite things to do in whole Lisbon.

Wow - this place was exceptional. It only opened in April (25) and is one of the nicest apartments we have ever stayed in. We were in apt 71 and our biggest disappointment is that we were only staying one night. It feels brand new, is very classy in its design and features (I’d happily hire the architect and designer for my own home). It’s large, has great furniture, a super kitchen and equipment (more like home than a typical rental), loads of storage, 2(!) balconies, 2.5 bathrooms. The location is great and the breakfast in the attached restaurant was amazingly good (think granola with hand cut fruit and fresh yoghurt, avocados and toast, freshly made omelettes- it was nearly too much food for us (but we did our best!). And finally the staff at the front desk were really nice and clearly seemed to be proud of the facility. Strongly recommended!
