Location: Very central and in the middle of the city centre so close by to all restaurants, attractions and public transportation.
Room: Modern and very spacious room. Free mini bar which was replenished daily. I found the ac cooling to be a bit low on day 1 but they provided a portable ac for the 3 days we were there.
Breakfast spread was good value for money.
Staff was very hospitable and the management gave welcome and goodbye gifts, which was a very sweet gesture

Everything! The location is great, in the heart of Lisbon, 30 sec. on foot from Rossio Square. The hostel is situated on the 3d floor, no elevator, but even with the bag it was not a problem for me. The staff is super friendly! The room is light, clean, the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is nice, nothing special, but basic to start a good day while travelling. Many thanks! Highly recommend!

- the location of the hotel is right in the city center
- there are taxis right in front of the hotel, and a subway station and various buses are right arpund the corner
- even though in front of the hotel there usually were quite some people, inside it was quiet
- the breakfast was very good
- the employees were always nice and helpful
- there was always hot water to shower
- air conditioning was working well

We stayed 5 nights at Palacio das Especiarias in November 2022, for our holiday in Lisbon. We had a room down in the cellar, which may not sound very exciting but it was wonderful. The building is a palace, if you hadn't guessed as much this means all the rooms and facilities are absolutely beautiful. The staff are very helpful and kind, and the breakfast is the best hotel breakfast I've had so far, with live piano and violin performances the entire morning, every day.
There are plenty of areas to sit and enjoy the surroundings, and the hotel is located in the best part of Lisbon, with everything within walking distance.
We also booked their Fado+Dinner experience, and both the performance and food was fantastic.
