I cannot rate this small hotel highly enough. The location is great at the top end of Barranco, near great restaurants and bars. The breakfast is fantastic, you can chose from a variety of healthy options and are able to eat in a small peaceful external courtyard. The rooms are quiet and the internet excellent. The manageress is extremely helpful, she managed to change our tv system, so my husband could watch the UK Rugby! She gave us great directions and recommendations. She also arranged for us to rent bikes which was a wonderful way to explore Barranco and the neighbourhoods around. The rooms are spacious and everywhere is extremely clean. The whole place is inside a courtyard so it is quiet. Highly recommend.

The Villa is very charmant and beautiful. Our room was big, with a nice wooden floor, the bathroom was as well nice and had space and flair..so the whole ambiance was fantastic. The little garden was cozy and we could always take coffee or tea. We got help to book a taxi and even with our postcards..it was difficult to post them, but thanks to Jose they are on their way..thank you again!

This is not called a Family hostel for nothing. After just 3 nights here we felt like family. Arriving late at night the place didn’t seem very special, just another place to rest our heads. But the family that run the place soon made it feel special. They were so warm and welcoming, and the whole setup of the place makes it feel like you’re staying as a guest in their home as they’re always around to help, or just to chat. And their 3 cats are there to keep you company too. The hostel is very well located between Barranco and Miraflores, with both in easy walking distance. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The hostel is kept very clean and secure. With nice shared areas in the rooftop terrace and breakfast area. We had a double room with en-suite which was compact but functional. The bed was comfy and there was no noise. A bit more space would perhaps have been nice. We had so many good tips from our hosts about places to see, where to eat, and even where to get a good service laundry. These were a real help. If we ever come back to Barranco (and I really hope we will) this will be our first stop.

The location is great! You’re close to everything central to Barranco. You’re staying above Augusto’s home so I felt very secure/safe. You get keys so you can come and go as you please. The place is spacious and has everything you need. I didn’t mind not having a kitchen—the fridge and microwave and water kettle are more than some other places. There was also a heater in each room which was appreciated as someone who runs cold and a hair dryer in the bathroom! The shower got hot quick. The breakfast was great. Augusto is a wonderful host, prompt to reply to messages and kind. He helped me with my heavy bag up and down the stairs. I will absolutely look to stay here again if I’m ever in Lima—and recommend it to folks coming. I stayed at a hotel in Miraflores when I first arrived and El Refugio was much better. Muchas gracias for a wonderful stay, Augusto!

The level of service provided here is exceptional. Particularly from Isaac and Sara. They went above and beyond to help us out in a challenging time for us. Breakfast was also a delight and the location is excellent. Barranco has a great deal of character and in our view has even more to offer than Miraflores.

Ninth floor overlooking park, keyless entry, nice apartment exactly matches the photos, the host is honest, responsive and helpful, extras like tea, coffee and shampoo were appreciated, rooftop pool great views gets a bit busy at weekends and only one umbrella.

Clean, friendly and relaxed hostel. Good location away from street noise. Is a sister location to another hostel close by for access to parties, games and pool. Decent sized rooms, plugs by the bed and chill rooftop hangout area.
