I always wanted to live in a typical Dutch house and this apartment gave me the opportunity to do so. The house is located in a residential area 7 minutes walk from Rotterdam Centraal. The streetcar (line 125) leaves 1 minute away and takes you to the city center, which is only 5 minutes away from the market hall. Supermarkets are within walking distance. Since parking is charged throughout Rotterdam, we parked the car in a parking garage that we could easily reach thanks to public transportation. The trip was a gift for my mother, who felt very comfortable. All in all, this apartment is my first choice when I come back to Rotterdam. Many thanks to the very nice and attentive hosts. It is a lovely big, clean house, furnished with good taste. Katy, the host, was more than helpful and gave us lots of local tips and was timely in all communications. The location is perfect and less than five minutes on foot to the entrance of Rotterdam Central Station. The area has a nice tranquility about it, even though it is central, and amenities close by are fantastic with a supermarket, a nice restaurant and a beautiful small pub, all within a 60 second walk from the front door. This said, it was very quiet in the house and people in Rotterdam, in general, are very laid back so there is no danger of not getting a good night's sleep no matter what time you go to bed or wake up. Like many traditional Dutch houses, the stairs are steep. Absolutely not an issue if you are able for stairs, but one to note if you have mobility restrictions.

a&o Rotterdam City is only 500 metres away from Rotterdam Central Station and the city centre. It offers modern facilities and comfortable rooms. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.

The location is really great, you are less then 10min by feet in the city center and main train station. A lot of shops and restaurants nearby. Our room was simple but clean and silent. Our room was little bit cold but we asked on reception for extra heating and we got it.

The apartment was well equipped, clean and comfortable, completely renovated in a typical Dutch building. Super well located, in a calm neighborhood just next to the train station and very close to the city center and all the site seeing spots. I had a great experience. The room was small but planned in such a practical way that I was able to organize all my things and still feel I have enough room, and it was also cozy. The public areas including the bathrooms, lounge and working area are designed aesthetically and are very comfortable. Last but not least, the location of the hub is great!! I recommend the place :)

A very stylish getaway so close to a natural beauty spot… The bedroom is charming with a modern feel, the bathroom lush. We were encouraged to enjoy the communal area, we were able to visit the supermarket and eat dinner at the property instead of eating out. A great breakfast was provided at our specified time. The surrounding area was unexpectedly beautiful, we headed upriver to the headwater of the Rotte, amazing to see all the different converted windmills. The river must surely be the only one in the Netherlands safe to swim in.

The house is amazingly beautiful. In the evening when we first arrived, it was full of warm light and quiet guest's chatter. In the morning going down the pleasantly squeaky stairs we felt so lucky to be staying in the property. One special word should be said about the breakfast: as foodies, we are very much into local produce, and the breakfast offered it: locally sourced butter, yogurt and cheese and homemade marmalades. Every little detail is thought through. We simply loved it!

We stayed in the yellow loft. It is very spacious and has a fully equipped kitchen in it. We loved the restroom, the shower was great. The hosts were super friendly, willing to help us with every request. We arrived early in the morning and we were offered to leave there the car and the luggages before the check-in time. The garden just outside the house is beautiful as well. Breakfast was rich and satisfying. The location is very quiet, a little far from the city. The hosts gave us the option to get two bikes for free and we could bike to the closest train station or directly to Rotterdam through the many bike lanes available. We really liked this feature. We can only recommend this structure.
