Everything!!! We loved any aspect of the hotel. After a few days spent in the Medina (which were also great, but very intense) we loved the relaxed, peaceful atmosphere of the hotel. Our room/ bungalow was very well designed, the bed and sofa were really cozy. We loved the swimming pool and the garden. Any common area of the hotel was extremely well designed and decorated. The staff was very kind and attentive. We didn’t want to leave:)

A brilliant location to get away from it all and enjoy the quiet/relaxing big pool and spacious gardens.
Easy to get to by taxi from Marrakech. Thanks Salah for arranging the taxi through the hotel when going into Marrakech or back to the airport. It was a perfect service. Comfy van, great drivers and reliable.
The pool is heated which was nice in April.
With only 10 rooms, you never feel like the place was crowded. The bar area, dining area, and lounge areas felt cosy and intimate.
The bedroom was large and nicely designed. Large TV with lots of choice.
It was possible to arrange for SPA treatments in the room and they were brilliant.
Breakfast was excellent. We left at 6:30 and the villa had a breakfast ready for us. We really appreciated it and it was a great touch.
For dinner we ordered a Couscous Royal which you need to give some notice early in the day. It was well worth it. One of the best meals we had in Marrakech!
The staff are superb and very friendly. Thank you Mustapha for the great chats and all the knowledge you shared about wonderful Marrakech and Morocco. The team at the Villa Al Assala Paleraie were like everyone we meet in Marrakech: friendly, charming and very helpful.

We stayed there on the night of the earthquake that hit the central part of Morocco. As much as the experience was terrifying, we couldn't have been at a better place to got through it. The place was as safe as could be for this type of catastrophe, and most importantly, the owner and staffs who were on site and who could make it to work the next morning were stellar in the way the handled everything. They kept their cool, were reassuring and it was wholesome to witness the way the team cared for each other.
A little more on the safety of the place:
- the property respects anti-seismic norms, is low built (everything is ground floor), and it is fairly easy to evacuate the rooms. We were sitting on the porche of our room when it hit, and were out of perceived danger (in the middle of the garden) in a few seconds. Were we in bed, the path to evacuate to garden is completely unobstructed.
-NOTHING moved inside the rooms, and that includes the decorative elements on the walls or fourniture. I admit that after spending a few hours in the garden and going through a second after-wave sometime in the middle of the night, we were so drained out that we ended going back inside and felt confident the roof was not going to fall on us.
Outside of emergency contexts, I recommend the place. It is overall nice and homey, the rooms are cute and neatly kept, and I loved hanging in and around the pool.

The hotel is not huge and provides a really welcoming and personal touch. The room we had (with garden and small pool) was lovely. The staff really made the stay. We were so well looked after and the food was fantastic too. After a few days staying in the Medina we loved relaxing by the pool in the sunshine.
