The hotel has unbeatable proximity to Kinrin Lake as it is located right on the lake and is part of the beautigul scenery. Step out the hotel, you can find 天祖神社 on one side and 下ん湯 on the other side. Take a stroll around the lake and you see the hotel sitting on the lake, like in a fairy tale. Guests can enjoy views of the lake from guest rooms, hot spring and the restaurant. Aiming to see the morning mist on the lake water (a special scene only in autumn and winter), we looked out from the window in our room at 7:15am and saw some mists start coming out. So we went for the hot spring (with lake view) first, then took a walk round the lake to enjoy the views of the hotel, red maples and morning mists before we headed back for breakfast. Breakfast set was freshly prepared. I especially loved the bread which was steaming hot and tasted perfect with the corn soup. The outlook of the hotel might look dated, but the interior is very well maintained and cleaned. Guestrooms are quite spacious.

Stayed for two nights. Our room had two outdoor onsens which was well maintained and clean. Room is a little dated but still clean. As we had a half board package, daily breakfast and dinner were included. Food was superb with a hearty Japanese breakfast and dinner was shabu shabu on the first night and bbq on the second. Service was top notched. We had a nice Nepalese lady looking after us. We had a private room for all our meals and were very well looked after. Lastly, the staff took our photo and printed it out for us for keepsake upon check out. Nice gesture. I had an extra photo taken with the owner's little brown poodle Hazel. :)

Great stay in a beautiful onsen, situated in a great location. The staff were very helpful and the food was delicious. Would definitely stay here again!

It was lovely and perfect to stay here!!!!! We were 4 of us, Grandma, mummy, and 2 kids. The room was super clean, neat, spacious and quiet. Private bath has big windows so it's almost like open air. Hot spring water is so good. There's small but beautiful Zen garden which is very well managed. The host is very kind :) And there is Convenient store in 5-7 walk distance.

Everything is perfect, the house owner is very kind and sweet, also the hot spring is awesome not to mention the dinings are great. Will come back and stay here again.
