Our stay at the ryokan was phenomenal and exceeded our expectations even though we were already prepared to enjoy it. We loved everything. Before arriving at the train station, I had sent an email asking for a pick-up, and the ryokan sent a car to pick us up on time. We stayed in a standard suite, which felt extremely comfortable and spacious and still had 3 hot baths by itself - 1 inside and 2 open-air ones. It was also possible to use the large "public" onsen but privately (there was a button to turn on a light outside and indicate that the onsen was in use). The view from there was lovely. Breakfast was at 8h30am while dinner varied between 18h30 and 18h00 for us, and the staff provided phone calls to our room before either meals. The kaiseki meals were truly delicious, so varied and so copious. The staff was always attentive and doing their best to accommodate, and the environment of the ryokan itself was quiet and soothing, full of beautiful greenery. The water's temperature for the room's onsens was perfect for us. The wi-fi functioned perfectly. We could not ask for more and would love to come back.

We stayed during winter and it was a very clean and spacious room. The onsen was relaxing and easily able to fit 2 people. The futon bedding was one of the most comfortable sleeps during our 18 day trip in Japan - perfect after using onsen. Highly recommend for couples.

Small but cozy. The staff are polite and helpful. There are a few hot springs that can be blocked for private use as long as no one is using.
