This ryokan was the most authentic we stayed in. The staff were lovely, the food excellent and best of all our own outside Onsen bath - really great.

The breakfast and dinner was absolutely amazing. Also our ryokan (called Mokuren) was a nice villa with private indoor and outdoor onsen options. Beds super comfortable and a fair amount of space in general. Wasn’t the traditional style but more of a modern twist

I had an amazing stay! My room opened right onto the lake, and the owner was so kind and helpful. Breakfast was fabulous, with an amazing view. The onsen was fabulous; it started snowing when I was in the outdoor section. Will 100% be back!

The room we used was a large space, and I could feel very silent japanese atmosphere. And one of the best thing to me was the hot spring that using natural hot water. I also could see Yu-fu's the highest Mt. in the spring. Finally, the owner's service was also so good. I will go there if I have any chance to visit Yu-fu area.
