This ryokan is between 2 (within a few steps) out of 7 public bath houses. It also has a 24/7 onsen (separate sex) within the premises. The view from our room is exceptional overlooking the Otani River where I saw carps when I woke up in the morning. The staff was excellent, very attentive. Since it has it's own brewery, the beer was great!

We stayed at Mikuniya Ryokan for two nights, and it was definitely a highlight of our trip to Japan. The room was spacious, very clean, and beautifully decorated in traditional Japanese style. We had dinner and breakfast on our first night, and everything was really delicious - totally worth it. The location was super convenient, just a short walk from the train station and all the main onsens. I highly recommend this place, 10 out of 10!

Everything was great. The service was out of this world, the food in a class of its own, and the room beautiful. Location was also perfect with close proximity to the public onsens. An extra treat was the two private onsens on the premises.

The hotel was very well situated in the town. It had beautiful views of the central river and a beautiful Japanese garden at the back of the property. The decor is contemporary Japanese minimalism, with careful attention to detail. Thoughtful touches of the traditional property have been preserved. The pillows and bed were extremely comfortable.
