Incredible experience - we loved every moment of our time here. It was our first ryokan & onsen experience, and everything exceeded expectations. The hosts were attentive & helpful, the Japanese tatami room was spacious and comfortable, and it is in the premium location in the town centre. We chose to include dinner & breakfast, and both were phenomenal. Yukata and kimono were provided, and they took great photos for us. The private onsens inside the ryokan were lovely, and a great introduction before we went to the public onsens in town. Highly recommend. Thank you!!!!

The room was amazing, typical japanese room with tatami, futon, all that. We had tea, water, beers available in the room. The bathroom had aminities available and was super nice. Overall it was super comfortable. The onsen inside the hotel was the best one out of all I saw in Kinosaki. Great experience! They gave us yukatas and towels, even footwear. You had free access to all onsens in town with a QR they provided you. Tattoos are not a problem too. We also had a kaiseki meal, which was an experience in itself. Some of the best food I had in Japan, and the service was amazing, we were explained what everything was and enjoyed it a lot. Our host was amazing.
I am hoping to come back at some point in the future. The personel was amazing, super friendly and kind. It was a pleasure to be a guest! Definitely a highlight in my trip :)

Great location, close proximity to some of the Onsen bathhouses and the pass to get access to them all. really kind staff, we really appreciated the service provided by Ryu he was great and spoke good English to explain the processes and the various foods. Good evening meal and breakfast, big portions too. nice onsen within the property itself. a really enjoyable experience for our first time in a ryokan. really nice view out into the rear garden.

Everything was great. The service was out of this world, the food in a class of its own, and the room beautiful. Location was also perfect with close proximity to the public onsens. An extra treat was the two private onsens on the premises.

Located right beside the river in the center of Kinosaki Onsen, this beautiful hotel combines the traditional style of Japanese ryokans with modern design elements, creating a unique atmosphere. Our room was spacious, well equipped and made us feel welcome immediately.
While the famous public onsens of Kinosaki are just around the corner due to the central location of Kobayashiya, the three private onsen rooms inside the ryokan present an ideal opportunity to start the day in a relaxing fashion or simply enjoy some privacy in between.
The Kaiseki (dinner menu) and breakfast were included in our stay and we would highly recommend adding the option. The dishes were carefully prepared with fresh, local ingredients (especially the fish and seafood) and present the perfect opportunity to experience and savor traditional, Japanese cuisine. It was definitely a highlight of our trip to Japan.
We would especially like to highlight the service provided during our stay. From the moment you arrive, everything is being taken care of, from providing the complimentary Yukatas and assisting you in dressing appropriately, taking the time to introduce and explain to you the dinner and breakfast menus, explaining everything about Kinosaki and its onsen culture or simply taking care of your room. You can simply relax and enjoy yourself.

All the employees we came in contact with, were extremely helpful, and kind despite the language barrier. The hotel offers a luxurious stay, with the staff being humble and approachable. The hotel onsen was also beautiful, equipped with all the necessary amenities. The view from our room to the garden and the river was great and relaxing, making you feel part of the nature
