Everything was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, we felt wonderful—the staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our entire stay. The stay itself was the highlight of our trip to Japan. We’re already in another city and still keep thinking about it! The room was very spacious, the beds were amazing, and the little terrace—plus the private onsen—was just unbeatable. Imagine soaking in the onsen while looking out into the forest. It’s incredibly calming. We also recommend trying the local breakfast and dinner (book in advance); it’s a truly exceptional culinary experience. Thank you so much for the best stay in the world! This is a hidden gem! I am traveling in a group of 8. We only managed to book for 1 night since they are fully booked. Kaiseki Dinner and breakfast were sumptuous! Staff were really attentive and friendly. We were warmly welcomed with a tea ceremony. They can converse with us in English so communication was really easy. The Onsen! So gooddd.. We liked the outdoor Onsen by the river in particular. Of course, there were also private and public onsen. Plenty of free parking spaces available.

Fantastic place in the middle of the mountains, secluded and quaint. The Ryokan is quiet and we were almost alone. The onsen they have was absolutely amazing and the food they served outstanding

This ryokan stands out for its excellent service. All the staff were cheerful, polite, and genuinely welcoming. Both dinner and breakfast were thoughtfully prepared, with a wide variety of dishes and excellent taste. You really shouldn’t eat too much beforehand, as the dinner here is plentiful and delicious. The location is great for those planning to visit Kamikochi — it’s just a short walk from the bus station to the ryokan. It’s a perfect place to relax and recover after exploring Kamikochi. Thank you to all the staff for taking such good care of me and my family.

Clean and authentic hotel with lots of character, with the ambiance of the nearby waterfall and river. An 11 course dinner of delicious traditional Japanese food, private and shared hot springs baths made with wood and river stone, surrounded by the beautiful forest, all made for a highly memorable stay.
