Incredible experience. The dinner was unlike any I have had before and the service that came with it was exceptional. The private bath in the room was beautiful and the two public baths were also very nice.

Amazing bang for buck experience. The remote location is perfect to enjoy a quiet stay in the mountains. Our hosts were absolutely amazing, kind, speaking well English and of precious help. Our room was spacious and cosy, the beds were super confortable. The Onsen was amazing also.
If you want to enjoy the complete ryokan experience, be sure to reserve the traditional meal before check-in as it's made on demand the same day with locals products (about 7000¥-8000¥ per person). It really worth it ! A complete Breakfast is included which is really a big + !

Perfect for spending one or two nights relaxing. Sit in your private onsen and watch the trees in the evening eat the dinner at the hotel. It is a sumptuous six course Japanese meal. Between sashimi, great sushi and hida beef you won’t be disappointed. The price is well worth it!
You can easily reach it by bus from takayama and it is a nice walk to the hirayu waterfall.
Definitely recommended for some peace and quiet.

The onsen (both private and public) are tattoo friendly and the outdoor ones are spectacular if you want to enjoy some nature as well. Staying at a ryokan is a one of a kind experience that it’s super worth the trip. The typical Kaiseki dinner was very good and delicious!
