Very helpful and friendly owner. Excellent shower facility with various cosmetics. Kitchen with microoven, toaster and ample supply of forks, knives, tea and coffee. Very quiet place. 10 minutes walk to Kosanji, 1 minute to Shotengai (main street with shopping and restaurants.). Just 2 minutes to obachan shop selling the best and the cheapest lemons and mikans (if you buy close to Kosanji you will pay 100%-200% more). Excellent price for value.

It's a spatious, well decorated place with several amenities like a rice cooker, oven, cooking top, desk, tea room. It looked clean and had a washing machine. It's great for longer stays.

The dinner and breakfast were absolutely amazing and high quality, made with love. In the USA, it would cost more than the total price of this stay at Sayomi's house. The house is a peaceful location up a hill with incredible views and solitude. It's perfectly clean and the bath facilities are high tech and modern, while the home itself has a warm, traditional and home-like feel. Sayomi is incredibly kind and generous. The food is unbelievable. She doesn't speak much English but will still try and communicate in a friendly way, and you can have a good conversation with translator apps. There's also a massage chair and the bath is great for after a long bike ride. Staying here fueled me to finish the difficult bike ride and it is one of my highest recommendations in Japan.

We stayed one night as a stop on the Shimanami Kaido.
It was a wonderful and relaxing place and the cottage was well equipped. Not much to do in the neighbourhood, and that was perfect for us after a day bicykling. Bring a Book or newspaper and enjoy the silence from the patio or the sofa by the window! Do your yoga on the patio! Remember to bring food, no shop or restaurant in the area.
We had good contact with the owner to get keys and information but we never met.
