This is a beautiful place. Clean, comfortable, spacious and staff was very helpfull. Sad it was only one night, would stay again.

+ stunning house and surroundings, it was one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed in + smell of the bath and the view + sandals, yukatas and umbrellas available to wear and take pictures in + optional, free pick-up from the bus and train station + all information provided at check in + dinner in Mountain View restaurant, it is worth the price, delicious and the restaurant was open especially for us after regular hours which made it a very special and private dinner party. The number of dishes and how beautifully they were served were impressive

Assi was a very nice host, and the house was amazing! We were lucky to stay over when we were the only guests, and it remains the best accommodation of our Japan trip. Futons are comfortable, the garden is very pretty, there are many cool and interesting things around the house (for example, some stamps and paper), it is clean and overall very cosy.

We love how quiet the location is. The autumn leaves were also amazing to see. The chef and the staff were very nice and made us feel very comfortable. The food was exquisite and very memorable. They also made the place cost and warm as the temperature gets colder.

We really felt at home in this house. Takashi paid attention to details like a selection of cds for us to listen to, a bearbell and a stocked fridge to make us feel welcome. We came by car, so it was easy to move around and go to the supermarket.

Every single thing in this place is beautiful with the most wonderfully designed restoration work I’ve ever seen. The owners clearly love and care for this place and have done everything to make it welcoming for guests. We absolutely loved it. We hiked from the door to Tsumago down the Nakasendo trail and got the bus back. We got most meals from the grocery shop 50m away. The location across from the train makes it perfect for getting around. We loved our stay!
