Lovely spacious rooms, helpful kind staff, Meals were well prepared and the afternoon tea on check in was a lovely touch. View from room and outdoor bath was stunning, so special. Staff very helpful when we needed extra help to contact local onsen, they were so kind and called ahead for us so we could keep our booking on very short notice.

Very beautiful accommodations- first time staying at a ryokan with a very young child and they were very accommodating! The location was gorgeous, the private and public baths were beautiful and relaxing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would love to visit again.

Everything is top notch, room is spacious and clean with daily room service, staff is extremely friendly, warm and hospitable. Everything was amazing! Zack did a great job making us all (there were 7 of us) feel welcomed. The living space and kitchen was big enough to allow us all to hang out. Zack put a power outlet in each of the bedrooms to let us plug in all our devices. The showers were great! It really was a great place to stay.

I loved the location, it’s a really pretty valley. Easy drive into Minakami and whilst we were not there during ski season, it is close to a ski slope or a hiking route during other seasons. Bikes also available for use.

Only a 5-minute walk from JR Kamimoku Train Station, Tatsumikan boasts in 5 indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and meals featuring local dishes.
