This Ryokan was beautiful. The location was breathtaking and I highly recommend staying here for a night or two! They offer a shuttle bus from the local JR station to the property which was really helpful, just ensure you let them know beforehand. The staff were lovely and respectful. Dinner was an experience like no other. I had let them know a few days prior we were vegetarians and they were more than happy to accommodate. The roll out futon’s were actually more comfy than expected!

We had dinner outdoors, 5 minutes away from the ryokan and it was great. We could enjoy the beautiful scenery while having dinner. After dinner, we could watch fireflies flying everywhere! The breakfast we had in the ryokan was amazing as well. The room was spacious, clean and quiet.

One of the most fantastic places I've stayed in. Located in the middle of jungles atop a mountain , with the river flowing right next to it- such perfect placement. The host was also really caring, accommodating- the hotel seemed more like home! They gave us fresh kimonos and Slippers (indoor as well as outdoor), the food was absolutely authentic, they even had a really good onsen. Absolutely loved it.

A 10-minute drive from Kinkaku-ji Temple, Ryokan Yamazaki offers a hot public bath and serves breakfast and traditional dinners for an additional fee.

I enjoyed this experience at the Ryokan Yamazaki! I definitely recommended this place. I also recommended the restaurant as well. The food is tasty especially the Japanese breakfast was fantastic. The room was big, super comfy and quietly beautiful. The lighting is experience done and the area the Ryokan is located in is quiet. It is perfect to relax and recover from sightseeing during the day The bedding on traditional tatami provided ample room. Service was very good and there staff were forthcoming. The bathing facilities are beautiful and as they are open to the public, I was able to follow the example on how to use facilities correctly. The restaurant on premise also has beautiful tatami flooring and heated floors. We only took breakfast once, but it was very delicious and filling. Overall an exceptional experience that exceed the expectations in every way.

Staying at Seikoro Ryokan was a truly unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with warmth and exceptional hospitality. We enjoyed an exquisite 8-course Japanese dinner, featuring the freshest fish and beautifully presented dishes, followed by a delicious traditional Japanese breakfast the next morning. Sleeping in the traditional style, on comfortable floor mattresses, added to the authenticity and charm of the stay. The room was perfectly air-conditioned and overlooked a serene and beautifully maintained zen garden, offering a sense of peace and calm. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches—yukata robes provided for dinner and the onsen, as well as comfortable sleepwear. Thank you once again for such a wonderful and memorable stay. We hope to return one day!

Location next to the station was ideal to take the train for day trips. Just 2 minutes walk away. The hotel is beautiful and has a nice atmotherphere fusing modern and traditional design. The room was really nice. You can choose between a wester and japanese breakfast daily. Although we had many japanase breakfasts on our trip this one was the most impressive and delicious. Everything was so refined and delicate! The breakfast room for the japanese restaurant was also very impressive.
