Oh my, this is the best hotel I've ever stayed at. We were greeted like royals from before we stepped inside.
The views, the smells, the respect and the hospitality - it was all amazing. I ended up proposing to my girlfriend here, and we couldn't have chosen e better place for it.
The private onsen was fantastic as well.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Koume No Tonari for a short one-day trip and it was by far the best hotel experience I've had in a while. The ambiance of the hotel was cozy and had a modern Muji style, which made me feel right at home. Every corner of the hotel was thoughtfully designed, and I appreciated the attention to detail.
The hotel is located in a relatively quiet area, which was perfect for my needs. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that within a 3-minute walk, there were numerous options for dining and entertainment. This was incredibly convenient, and I loved having easy access to a variety of options without having to travel far.

This is a splendid little ‘inn’ tucked away in the back streets not far from Kyoto University. I selected this accommodation for its location as I was visiting my daughter who is studying at Kyoto University. My room was larger than I needed but it was spotless and is easily warmed as the weather was cold. It was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. I stayed two nights and my room was serviced, which was an unnecessary surprise. I hardly saw the staff and when I did they were very friendly. The wifi is good and after hours access is via a pin pad. I would highly recommend this place for those looking for a simple comfortable stay in Kyoto.
