I stayed at this wonderful ryokan during my trip to Kyoto, and I’m still deeply impressed! This is a truly authentic Edo-period style ryokan, with a serene and cozy atmosphere that beautifully preserves Japanese tradition. Everything—from the interiors to the hot baths—radiates a deep respect for cultural heritage.
I want to especially thank the staff. I accidentally left a valuable piece of jewelry in the bath and had nearly accepted that it was lost. But the staff not only found it—they contacted me and kindly mailed it to my hotel in Tokyo. I was genuinely touched by their honesty, care, and attention.
This place became more than just accommodation—it became a special memory of my journey in Japan. I will definitely return and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a truly Japanese experience and heartfelt hospitality. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Trendy hotel with great rooms and cool design, comfy beds, great city views and Japanese shower/bath bathrooms. Fantastic rooftop and really good bakery in the lobby for breakfast. Good location (less than 10 minutes from Kyoto station by taxi, Gion district and Kiyomizu-dera temple accessible on foot). Helpful staff, they booked a really nice tea ceremony for the family.

This hotel has an excellent location that made exploring the area so convenient. Our room was spacious and came with all the amenities we needed, including laundry facilities right in the room which was incredibly helpful. The staff truly made our stay exceptional, especially Miko and Milan, who went above and beyond to provide recommendations that made our visit even more enjoyable.
