When we arrived from the train we were a little concerned that we'd picked the wrong location, but after a short time exploring the local area we realised it was the perfect spot! The hotel itself was one the best we've ever stayed in.

Lovely experience to stay in Sakura Urushitei. We had Japanese style room and couldn't be happier sleeping in cozy futons and softest blankets in such a beautiful surroundings. Had Japanese breakfast each morning, remember to book breakfast in advance :) Ryokan has own bath which can be booked for private use. Convenient location very near Shijo station and Kawaramachi.
