The staff waited for us to arrive and assist us with check-in even though we forgot to update them on our arrival timing. The room itself was really nice and comfortable, facilities and heating was really good. Staff was very friendly and the interior design of the room was very traditionally Japanese.

Great location, 10min walking to the bamboo forest and temple. Get there early, this makes a big difference in crowd sizes in these very touristic places. Go further north for quieter and just as beautiful temples / areas. Helpful host and super useful parking space in kyoto. Plenty of space in the house for a family.

This house is a very modern detached house. It is very clean and tidy, and all the furniture and appliances are very practical. The landlord is very warm and polite. There is a convenience store nearby, and it is not far from the JR station. The surrounding area is where mostly elderly people and children live, so it is very quiet.
