The staff were so welcoming and helpful. It was a peaceful stay. Despite some construction work outside, no noise came through into our room. The suite was beautiful and the half-outdoor bath was stunning! We had a kaiseki dinner and breakfast, both were delicious and had a beautiful assortment of food.

I stayed with my son for 12 days. The spacious rooms are perfect for families. I loved the neighborhood, you can explore Arashiyama after the buzz and the mass tourism from the afternoon made their way back to the city. Take a stroll alongside the Hozugawa river, enjoying nature. It is close to nice places like the Matsuo Shrine or the Arashiyama Monkey Park. I can also recommend to take a boat tour on the Hozugawa river, you will end your trip close to the hotel.

This home stay is one of my favorite during the 14 days stay in Japan. I love the fact that the kitchen was so well equipped with all cooking utensils- equivalent to the ones that I am using at home.
