This Ryokan was beautiful. The location was breathtaking and I highly recommend staying here for a night or two!
They offer a shuttle bus from the local JR station to the property which was really helpful, just ensure you let them know beforehand. The staff were lovely and respectful. Dinner was an experience like no other. I had let them know a few days prior we were vegetarians and they were more than happy to accommodate. The roll out futon’s were actually more comfy than expected!

Warm and helpful staff, great hospitality, cosy and well-designed room, and impressive in-room onsen - the fine detail has exceeded my expectations.
Staff volunteered to take photo in the front terrace. She got impeccable photo-shooting skills (with my iPhone 13 Pro Max) and I don’t need to touch up the photos at all. As a totally amateurish iPhone user I do have a lot to learn from her.
A bit pitiful is that I didn’t read clearly the fine prints on booking.com so only breakfast was included. However, the breakfast, served in-room, was fabulous - nice portion and remarkable taste that did energise me for the long day ahead. Food is clearly better than another ryokan across the bridge that I stayed for 2 nights last time.
I’ll definitely come back for the dinner. Not to mention that I miss the really really sweet team : )

We picked the hotel due to its localization, because it is close to famous bamboo forest and to make crowdless photos you need to get up very early, so we decided to choose hotel close to the forest. It was supposed to be only a bedroom for us, but it came out as a really comfortable and clean hotel with very friendly personel. Also the bathroom was big, clean and to be honest, the best we found in our trip to Japan. I can recomment it to everyone staying in Kyoto

Traditional Japanese style home with great facilities and location. The host left snacks and food each day and provides lots of extra food/meals for very reasonable prices. The place was very clean and the heating systems work very well.

Amazing staff. The breakfast scenario and experience were unbelievable. I never rate hotels. This one, I will. One of the few hotels I have traveled to in the world which I will return. Truly awesome. And extremely relaxing!

Wonderful traditional hotel – highly recommended!
The hotel was very beautiful and spotlessly clean, with a charming traditional style. We stayed in room 12 on the first floor, which had its own private garden and a 40°C hot bath just for us, such a special experience! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They even drove us to the next JR station when we checked out, which was a lovely gesture. I can highly recommend this hotel to everyone, it’s something you really have to experience!

The property is very clean and very close to the train station. The host communicated well and we had no issues. The bed and mattress is very comfortable. The interior is nice and spacious. Everything we need is provided although we did not utilise all of them.

We were really pleased with this accommodation. The apartment (and also the bathroom) was very clean, the bed was comfortable, there were great cooking facilities, and the staff was very helpful. Among other things, we also really enjoyed the proximity to a supermarket, the train station, and the bus stop.
The accommodation offers everything you need for a perfect stay in Kyoto!
