The host was the loveliest host we've ever met!!! He picked up up from the station, made some great recommendations, took us to the Onsen and was super friendly. We loved the house and the Japanese style room!

The staff was super nice and extreemly helpfull, would really recomend at least 1 day here, you can use 2 different onsen and sometimes they open there 3rd onsen. So amazing!

Metei no Yado Kosher is a traditional ryokan in the small town of Isawa Onsen. The property is stunningly beautiful. The hotel rooms surround a traditional Japanese garden that is magically beautiful. Everything is considered. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed. There is a public onsen but there are also private onsens, saunas, and hot rock bed rooms, which was great because you can enjoy the benefits in private, if you prefer this, rather than with others (which is the usual Japanese way). The food was also exceptional. We loved every minute and would definitely return!

I had a great stay! I mistakenly went to the wrong property branch by following google maps which was like a 20-mins walk away . When I called them, the manager himself came to pick me up by his car to drop me at the right place. The facilities were more than sufficient for a solo traveller to rest for a night and the building was so lovely with a cozy, traditional Japanese touch.
