Apart from the fact that the Mangano family members are perfect hosts, the place is simply wonderfully located (2 minutes walking from my conference venue! 5 minutes away from the Piazza Duomo! 5 minutes away from a very nice beach!) in a charming and peaceful little alley. Breakfast is served in a very practical and environmentally friendly manner in the dining area on the roof terrace which has a charming view. Our luggage did not arrive with us, but the receptionist very sympathetically tried his utmost best to assist by phoning the Catania airport. The Manganos are a very caring family. They work extremely hard to offer quality and friendly service. Thanks to Cinzia, Maurizio, Stefano, and Flavia!

The location could not be better! Right in the Ortigia city center. No noise at all, perfect for sleep. The apartment is very small but as a tourist, how much room do you need? After all, you will spend all your time exploring the city. The beds are comfortable, the small kitchen is fully equipped. The bathroom is full of toiletries and essentials, and it has eight (repeat, 8!) different hair shampoos, among others! Everything is clean. The place has so many little details, it makes you feel like some student lives here but has moved elsewhere, only to make room for you. The owner, Elario is super nice, his knowledge of English is limited but more than enough to explain everything the apartment has to offer and also to recommend the closest restaurants and supermarkets.
