The location is fantastic, in the center of Sassi. The room was smaller but confortable, with interesting stone details on the wall and bathroom ceiling. The breakfast was big including pizza, cornetto, fruit and small juice, there was a simple coffee machine in the room. I prefer cappuccino for breakfast (with milk) which I could buy from a vending machine across the street. I was interested in guided tour (in italian) and Lino connected me with an excelent guide (Angela). Grazie per il belissimmo soggiorno. La città è meravigliosa.

A truly unique and memorable stay—our first time sleeping in a cave! Francesco was so warm and welcoming, greeting us with coffee and croissants and sharing a map to walk us through Matera’s rich history and must-see spots. The cave itself was a beautiful loft-style flat, cozy yet spacious. Such a special experience—we’re so glad we stayed here!
