We upgraded to the suite for a low cost. Bathtub, huge room, very comfortable. Most comfortable place we've been in. Price is great too. They dont charge an arm and a leg for extra things. Forget about 5 star hotels, this is the good stuff.

I was so lucky to find Desire Hostel! It was the first place I went in India and as a solo female traveller, Sunny & Aniket (both work at the hostel) made me feel so welcome and safe. The whole space is really nice with a beautiful garden, an oasis in the middle of Delhi. This is the second time I stayed there and I would always come back. It is a quiet place very close to Lodhi Garden and two metro stations about 10 min walking distance away, so you can easily explore the city by public transport. All staff is really nice and friendly and the whole place has a family atmosphere. Breakfast is served in the garden - you can have tea, coffee, fruits, yoghurt, cereals, omelette, bread... meals are always freshly cooked and often are made with the vegetables that grow in the garden. The rooms are basic but comfortable, there is air condition and heating, and you have fresh water, a water heater, tea and instant coffee in the room. But you can also always go to the main building and get free coffee/tea, and refreshments for a fair price.
