My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Taj Wellington Mews, Chennai, and we can confidently say that it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. This hotel truly exceeded all our expectations, making our trip truly remarkable. First and foremost, cleanliness is paramount when it comes to choosing accommodation. The room was immaculate, and every detail was taken care of with the utmost precision. The attention to cleanliness made us feel comfortable and at ease throughout our stay. The room service was not only prompt but also exceptionally helpful. Whether it was an extra bottle of water or a drying rack, they were always at my beck and call, ensuring that our needs were met promptly and with a smile. Their dedication to guest satisfaction was truly commendable. One of the standout features of this hotel was the gym and fitness facilities. The gym trainer on staff Prem was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly motivating. He tailored a workout plan to suit my needs, and his guidance helped me maintain my fitness routine during my stay. It's rare to find such a dedicated fitness professional at a hotel, and it greatly enhanced my experience. But what truly set the Taj Wellington Mews apart was the exceptional level of service provided by the staff. One particular staff member Abin, went above and beyond to prepare a comprehensive list of attraction sights in Mahabalipuram. His knowledge and enthusiasm made exploring the city a breeze, and I discovered hidden gems I would have otherwise missed.

It was great experience. Staffs were friendly but professional, room equipment was also great (especially it is important for me that they had bathtab in the room). In addition, they have a free autorickshaw from the hotel to phoenix mall so you can enjoy the shopping. I would recommend this hotel if you would like comfortable staying in chennai.

The hostel is basically a 2-bhk apartment with 3 bathrooms, with one of the bedroom housing 2x2 bunk beds. The hall is very nice, but keep in mind the hostel is new and the owner is slowly personalizing everything. Sureeth, the owner is extremely sweet and nice (and hard working). He makes sure the guests are comfortable. There's an adorable kitty that comes here every morning and Sureeth gives her some milk. The locality is very Christian, and very quiet. There's a huge church nearby; make sure to visit it. You can also get breakfast and dinner, and there's also good restros (A2B, Ashok bhawan) nearby. All in all, excellent hostel experience.
