One of the most charming hotels we have ever stayed at. The area is tranquil, no noise. The design is based on chocolate and they even have a chocolate fountain in the receptcion, my daughters loved it (and the parent too!). The staff were really nice. There is a supermarket, shops and restaurants around the hotel and it is near the old town.

The Hotel Continental was originally built for the 1964 Swiss National Exhibition in Lausanne and was recently refurbished, modernized and enlarged.

Rooms were neat and clean and you have everything you need to make your stay comfortable, charging docks everywhere. Staff super friendly and ready to help with getting around advice, suggestions for places to eat, providing items you might have forgotten to take with you (i.e. charger), kept our luggage after check out, until we had to go for the train. Location is really almost in the center and actually next to the only shopping mall I saw in Lausanne, around the corner of a great square with restaurants and cafés and a charming vibe. Close to main public transportation, easy to get around. Breakfast it was a very good selection for the price, without being luxury it did not missed a thing, fresh ingredients and good variety. Also the lobby is a cool place to enjoy your breakfast.

The blackout blinds were wonderful to sleep. The room was big and high. Very near the train station.
