Everything about this place is phenomenal. The attention to detail when it comes to the décor, the property is run like a well oiled beautiful vintage classic top tier machine. The views are gorgeous, the breakfast delicious and the care by Adriaana (pardon my spelling) and Christopher is exceptional. I loved everything about this property right down to the meticulous choice is mirrors.

One of the best hostel I’ve ever stayed! The place is incredible and clean, the staff is so kind and makes you feel like home, and even better than that. The swimming pool and the private mountain with the amazing view on Rio are the cherries on the top. I highly recommend it!

The hotel was fabulous and exquisitely refurbished (like, straight out of a design magazine) , with a beautiful garden full of exotic birds and a beautiful swimming pool. If that wasn’t enough what makes it even more special is the staff; everyone is so very kind and polite and genuinely friendly. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home and accommodate your every request. They make you feel very well looked after and as if you were visiting friends (rather than staying at an hotel). They anticipate your very need before you even tell them! I felt very comfortable and at ease and loved staying there!

The house is fantastic! The interior is probably the best I have seen and it does feel like the owner is simply inviting strangers to enjoy his home. The staff gave us great tips and were super friendly, especially Daniel, we had great and deep conversations. The location is great for exploring Santa Teresa and the areas around. A bit far if you want to visit Ipanema, etc. The view is amazing of course and we wished we had more time to enjoy the serenity and tranquility of this space. One day hopefully we can come back :)

Amazing place to stay with amazing views of the city and nice and close to the nightlife happening in Lapa. the bed was huge and super comfortable and the hosts were lovely.

Quiet historical atmospheric building and area with some nice bars and restaurants within walking distance. One of the rooms has a fantastic balcony with a view of Christ the Redeemer but it can be viewed by all anyway from the communal terrace. The owner Arthur was unbelievably helpful giving me advice on what to do in the city.
