Very charmant hotel with beautiful rooms, well equipped. The beds and sheets were great. The staff was wonderful and even provided us with a hot water bottle when it was cold and rainy outside.

Situated just 50 metres from Voelklip Beach, Hermanus Beachfront Lodge - Solar Power offers rooms with sea or mountain views. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas. Our room was superb with full width patio door overlooking the ocean and 2 chairs to sit and whale watch. Bed was enormous and comfy and small kitchen area was a bonus. Staff were amazing and Tito is a complete star. Receptionist,porter,chef. A pleasure to meet him. For a small place with 5 rooms breakfast was exceptional.

The Hotel is powered by an inverter and solar panels for full service during load shedding times. The rooms have lighting outside on their patio's as well as inside the rooms. The room was fabulous. The staff were amazing. The breakfasts were divine.

The place was spotless and cozy, with a heated blanket/bed that made our stay extra comfortable. Although it was just a quick stop, the host went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She kindly arranged our dinner in advance, making a reservation and even placing the order before we arrived. Throughout, she was warm, attentive, and thoughtful, coordinating every detail seamlessly. What touched us most was that she even followed up after we checked out to ensure we reached our next destination safely. This kind of genuine care and service is rare, and it truly made us feel special. Highly recommend!

Saxon Lodge a bed & breakfast in Gansbaai, which is known as the ideal location for shark cage diving and whale watching. Good position, staff really kind and helpful in everything, raccomanded!

This was our first stop along the Garden Route and the hotel was perfectly located. Just across the street was an access to the coastal walk from where you can walk into town for dinner which takes about 30 min. The room was clean and comfortable with nice views in both directions. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, for our anniversary the even gave us a little gift which was a lovely touch. The breakfast was excellent as well. :)

78on5th is a boutique guest house bordering Fernkloof Nature Reserve, 5 minutes’ walk from Grotto Beach. Rooms feature private balconies with views of the mountains or the Atlantic Ocean. The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated. The hosts were extremely helpful and generous.

Delightful hosts Vivianne and Jan came to Swellendam from the Netherlands 6 years ago to take over this quaint lodge. They’ve transformed the 1880’s Manor House into a welcoming place for guests to check in, hang out and have a cup of coffee or tea, play games, look at books, and gather for the wonderful made-to-order breakfast they serve. This hidden gem of a place, just off the highway (R60) and only minutes from the center of town, has only 6 rooms, is solar powered, and is set amongst a beautiful, lush garden. The room was lovely, had a large bathroom with both a shower and a tub, and had an outlet near a mirror in the bedroom so one can do their hair. (There are no electric outlets in bathrooms in South Africa.) This was the only time in our three weeks in South Africa, that we had a hair dryer. Along with your room key, you get a driveway gate opener. One needn’t worry about safety here. I wish we had planned more time to just hang out.
