My wife and I loved how the property felt like a quiet corner of Tuscany, with warm colours and a relaxed atmosphere. The location couldn’t have been better, right in the heart of town and close to the water. The pool was excellent, a real highlight, and the staff were attentive throughout our stay. It’s exactly the kind of boutique hotel that makes a quick getaway feel special.

The Hotel is powered by an inverter and solar panels for full service during load shedding times. The rooms have lighting outside on their patio's as well as inside the rooms. There is bathroom lighting and strong wifi signal in the rooms when there is loadshedding. Felt very homely and comfortable with excellent service

Each room at the White Shark is decorated in a mix between rustic and contemporary, including exposed brick walls and modern furniture. They all offer a private bathroom, and some come also with a spa bath. The place was spotless and cozy, with a heated blanket/bed that made our stay extra comfortable. Although it was just a quick stop, the host went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She kindly arranged our dinner in advance, making a reservation and even placing the order before we arrived. Throughout, she was warm, attentive, and thoughtful, coordinating every detail seamlessly. What touched us most was that she even followed up after we checked out to ensure we reached our next destination safely. This kind of genuine care and service is rare, and it truly made us feel special. Highly recommend!

78on5th is a boutique guest house bordering Fernkloof Nature Reserve, 5 minutes’ walk from Grotto Beach. Rooms feature private balconies with views of the mountains or the Atlantic Ocean.

All of the spacious guest bedrooms at 78on5th in Hermanus have a TV with movie channels, a hairdryer and an en suite bathroom. In addition, all rooms have a refrigerator, hot drink facilities and a microwave. The property is tastefully decorated with exquisite art pieces strategically placed all around the property. The natural light that flows in from the transparent ceiling and the unexpected live piano performance in the morning what the highlight! We enjoyed the access to Netflix for a movie before bed time. Everything including kitchen appliances is good quality and condition. It was so convenient having the choice of a nearby restaurant for meals or staying in and cooking in the fully quipped kitchen. The location was perfect with less than 5min walk to the nearest supermarket and around 10min walk from the ocean and popular Hermanus Cliff path, no need for any transportation. We loved everything about our stay including our warm, friendly and welcoming hosts! We felt a bit sad to leave as we felt so at home. Will definitely be back soon.

All of the rooms at Swellendam Guest House have a veranda with direct access to the garden. The rooms feature a satellite TV, a minibar and a fan. Some rooms offer views of the Langeberg Mountains. Delightful hosts Vivianne and Jan came to Swellendam from the Netherlands 6 years ago to take over this quaint lodge. They’ve transformed the 1880’s Manor House into a welcoming place for guests to check in, hang out and have a cup of coffee or tea, play games, look at books, and gather for the wonderful made-to-order breakfast they serve. This hidden gem of a place, just off the highway (R60) and only minutes from the center of town, has only 6 rooms, is solar powered, and is set amongst a beautiful, lush garden. The room was lovely, had a large bathroom with both a shower and a tub, and had an outlet near a mirror in the bedroom so one can do their hair. (There are no electric outlets in bathrooms in South Africa.) This was the only time in our three weeks in South Africa, that we had a hair dryer. Along with your room key, you get a driveway gate opener. One needn’t worry about safety here. I wish we had planned more time to just hang out.

We had the Africa Suite, which is a fantastic room. The staff is very lovely and welcoming and the entire complex is very well maintained. Breakfast is very delicious with a good selection of food. Parking on site is available and convenient. It is really such a nice place!
